catherine and edward bassett, 1600-50 England

I am looking for the ancestry of Catherine Bassett who married 4 Nov 1633 in London Robert Lesley. She was the daughter of Edward Basset "now in Ireland" at the time of her marriage.

She appears to have been a maid or lady in waiting or midwife at court and is said to have nursed prince (later King) William III when he was a baby - he was born in 1650 in Holland, his mother being a sister of Charles II.

Could the father be Edward Basset of Fledborough, Notts who died in 1635 according to Burke's Armorial (and whose ancestry is given in a Nottinghamshire visitation)?

Any information most welcome!
