I am also related to John and Margarey Bassett. My information (probably family Bibles)states that John and Margarey moved to New Haven, Conn. in 1642. One child is listed: Robert (d. 1670).

I am a descendant through these Bassetts: Robert I(d. 1670 in Hempstead, R.I.), Robert II (b.1640) who married Elizabeth Riggs in 1687 or 1688, Jonadab (b. 1695), Benjamin (b. 1725), John (b. 1755), Agur (b. 1788), who married Olive Wheeler in 1811, George Agur (b. 1832), and Elvira Olive (b. 1860). I have sketchy information on siblings, birthdates, and locations if these would be helpful to anyone.
I am also looking for more information on this side of the Bassett family.
Does anyone know more about John and Margarey ancestors before they immigrated?
