O. Douglas..... I have not found the link to the VA Bassetts. But it should exist since the name Burwell is a surname in two Bassett Families in VA. The Henry Co. VA Bassett's (of furniture fame) show a Burwell Bassett (b. Jul 5 1767) in Prince Edward, VA
mar. Polly Hunter Jan 25, 1794
he d. June 1 1815

There is another Burwell Bassett line that leads to the Presidents, William and William Henry Harrison. Plenty of information available at Williamsburg VA....Bassett Manor
