William Bassett was born in Georgia and died abt 1821(between Nov 20, 1820 and July 10, 1821 according to R W Dhonau of Little Rock, AR) His wife's name at the time of his death was Elizabeth ? He had the following children: 1.Mary who is my g,g,g, grandmother and who married Peter Leatherman in Arkansas Territory in the area of Hempstead Co in 1817. 2. William b. probably in Miss 3. Nathaniel b. probably in Miss. m. Trisshena Spear in Ark in 1810 4. Loicey (?Dicey) b. prob Miss m. Harold Stillwell in 18ll. d. 1815. 5. Thomas b abt 1818 m. Sarah McLaughlin 1837 Clark co, AR 6. John 7. Elizabeth 8. Charlotte m. Harold Stillwell as his 2nd wife 1819 d. 1862 9. Robert Huston b abt 1800 10. Burwell (Dhonau says 'Burrell') Routh b abt 1803 11. Lary (Laura?) b bef 1820 12. Ezekiel. I need to know where in Georgia William Bassett SR came from and what connections if any he has with the Virginia Bassetts especially the Burwell Bassett line. There are so many name similarities but no other proof. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Doug Wilson
