John Richardson m. Lucinda had 5 surviving children. John had some adopted children by his consort Charlotte. He brought with him to Alabama from Georgia one girl-child. Other Georgia Relatives came later. It has not been proben that his middle initial was "A". John A. Richardson, Sr. had only one family. Namely the surviving children of his beloved Orra Nannette Roberts (who was blind the last few years of her life). John A. Richardson, Sr. did have an "out of the family" child prior to his marriage to Orra Nannette Roberts. John J. "Breastpin John" Richardson was that child. His mother drove up to the gate after Grandpa married Grandmother Orra Nannette and said here is your son. She promptly drove off without further ado. Breastpin John was just a youngster and was raised by both my Grandpa John A. and Grandmother Orra Nannette with their surviving children. Breastpin John, on the other hand, as the stories go did have several families. I have information on two of these families; the third family as stories go has never been verified. I greatly admire the dignity and grace of my ggg-gmother Lucinda and gentleness of my gg-grandmother Orra Nannette who my gg-grandfather John A. tenderly cared for all their married life and paraticularly after her blindness. Appreciate any info you may have on John Richardson's adopted children and would like to verify my information and fill in some gaps. Thanks.
