Fulco Basset was the fourth son of Thomas Basset, Lord of Compton (third son of Ralph Basset of Colston and Drayton, Chief Justice of England in the time of King Henry I and his wife Alice de Buci) and Alice de Dunsterville.
Fulco would not appear to have married.
There was another Fulco Basset (nephew of the above) who was Bishop of London and who died unmarried in 1259.
