My roots are in Crittenden county KY near the boundary with Livingston county. My ancestors are buried at Tyner's Chapel. I live in MD. My mother's mother is Tommy Bass, who died in her twenties. My grandfather Adger Howard to whom she was married eventually remarried a 1st or 2nd cousin of my grandmother Tommy Bass. My step-grandmother was commonly known as Bettie Bass, though I believe her given name was Elizabeth Bass. Bettie took the responsibility of providing for my care, until I joined my parents in northern Ill.
Regarding my Bass lineage: There was a Jim Bass who came around who I believe was related to "Grandma" Betty. My Grandfather was John Bass, but he must have been dead by my 5th birthday.
I would appreciate any information on my Bass family in Western KY, or printed sources where this information may reside.
