According to my information Guilford Bass, Jr., was born Sept. 26, 1838. He married Keziah Jane Davis of Shelby Co., Ill. She was the daughter of Thomas Hill and Nancy Massey.
Said Guilford, Jr. was the son of Guilford Bass and Polly (Mary) Proctor. The elder Guilford was born in Franklin Co., Tenn 1n 1797, and died July 20, 1847. He was the son of Jacob Bass and wife, Ann Cook.
Jacob Bass was born about 1760 in Franklin Co., NC, the son of Jacob Bass, Sr. Jacob, the younger died in Franklin Co. in 1810.
Jacob Bass, Sr. was born in Northampton Co., NC about 1730, but lived in Franklin Co. He was married three times, first to Tabitha Bass, daughter of Charles Bass of Virginia, second to Ann Fuller, daughter of Solomon and Ann Fuller, and finally to Prudence Jones. Jacob was a son of John Bass and Elizabeh Winborn. Jacob died in 1792.
Said John Bass was a son of John Bass and Love Harris. He was born in Bertie Co., NC about 1700 and died in Northampton Co. in 1777.
John Bass, the elder was the son of William Basse. He was born in Nansemond Co., Va. on Dec. 4, 1673.
