2 households away from Walter/Alice is who I BELIEVE to be Walter's father and his 3rd wife, who would be Walter's stepmother. But, it would be good to have some real proof before taking this as fact.

(my note: I looked at the actual 1880 census image and it says John R. Bass was born in Oct of 1879, which matches his birth info on the 1900 census. Also, parents of all 3 household members were born in NC.)
