I live in Suwannee Co.,FL. I was born & raised here and left in 1989 to remarry and move to a neighboring county. Two years ago, we sold our place and moved to the mountains of AR. Two months ago, we moved home. I love this area. My Bass family is from North Carolina. Not sure exactly which counties but am told Wake, Sampson and a couple of others are the most probable. We can trace back to Celia b. 1806 in NC but are unable to locate a husband for her. The record page needed is missing. Wayne Co. is another possibility. Would love to connect Celia to someone. It is thought that Uriah was the father of her children. There is also a Celia Mitchell married to Moses Bass and he would fit with the time line of Celia's eldest b. 1826. However, I haven't found any supporting documentation.
