I would love to have the Basom records. I am wondering if this line is the "other side" of the brick wall I've been battling for a number of years. I can trace my H's line back to my H's 2nd great grandfather, Abraham Basom. He was born in PA 27 Dec 1804 and died in Clarion, PA, on 24 Dec 1861. He married Christena Carney abt 1829 and had 8 children. Within a generation or two, the spelling changed to Basim.
Your line shows an Abraham, son of Rudolph, who was named in the will, but address unknown.
Ours is in Clarion by the 1840 census. Family lore says he came there from Mifflin County, but I haven't been able to document him there. I am speculating that he went there to live with a sibling after his parents died? There is a Henry Besom in Greenwood, Mifflin Co, PA on the 1820 census.
Thanks for any help at all!
