I wish it did sound familiar but no. I am working on my mother-in-laws family and I know there was a John Hughes in Sumner County, married to and Elizabeth last name unknown. I know three sons, James,George and Joseph but on the 1840 census there is 5 boys so I was wondering if Samuel was one of the two missing.
