I was curious about your abstracts for the Bashaw and Etheridge names although many years earlier. The will of THOMAS BAYSHAW written 16 May 1789; proved 16 May 1791 Norfolk Co., VA, names wife Mary and son William, but does mention wife is to maintain "the child'n" so assume there were others. Wit: James Oast, Elizabeth Bayshaw.
Thomas Bayshaw's maternal grandmother was Elizabeth Etheridge, widow of Adam. Elizabeth Etheridge's will 23 Jan 1764/16 Jun 1768 Norfolk Co., VA, names other grandchildren in addition to Thomas Bayshaw including gr-dau Elizabeth Bayshaw. It is not known which Etheridge daughter married Bayshaw: Lydia or Elizabeth - but it would have been after Apr 1735 when the Etheridge daus were yet unmarried re. their father's will.
Re. Maryland - there was an Andrew Bashaw as early as 1664.
