Hi Royce, I am sorry, but I think that your family might be the real bashaw family, but I have been looking up my family, and I had found out that the original spelling of my family is Bachand. In the early 1800's Peter, David v., and Oscar Bachand had changed the spelling as did half of the family to Bashaw, and moved to the U.S.A. from Canada. The 3 brothers moved to IL. and bought a lot of farms. I am from David's family. There were different families who came to the U.S.A. and had changed there names to bashaw. You still could be part of this family, do you know what natinality your family might be? We were from france.
