Mike, your adopted Bashaw/Harper still intrigues me...I'm still looking for you without any kind of results.He would have inherited his biological father's genes, and it was probably not a Bashaw.However, if his mother was married to a Bashaw, then the husband was probably the father?As far as I know there is only one blood Bashaw been tested....with FTDNA in Houston.... who was a descendant of Giles Bashaw who died 1644.As far as I know our Southern Bashaws..descendant of Giles Bashaw....are not related to the Carrol Co., Illinois Bashaws who originated in Canada. If any of them have been DNA tested, then i don't know about it.
Did you have the Companymatch him up with ANY family they have on record?If they gave you a family name who he matches, that would really help us.
Poor Anna Bashow...she probably was not married, and her family kicked her out?She should show on the 1880 census.I'm going to check again.
