My father of James Alfred Bashaw, b. 1910 Richmond, Va.-d.1978 Richmond, Va. His Father's name is thought to be Edward, also born in Richmond, and James' mother's maiden name was Ward from Wise Co., Va. James Bashaw's brothers were:Clarence, Felton, Wylie, and Alec (sp?) and sister was Madeline m.1) Murphy & 2) Clinton & 3) Robertson of Richmond, Va. Family lore states that James Alfred Bashaw's direct paternal ancestor, Bashaw arrived in Virginia in the mid to late 1600's. Culpepper is so close to Richmond that I was wondering if you of the Culpepper gang have come across any of the above folks in your research?
