I descend from Peter Bashaw and his wife Celia of Fauquier County, Virginia during the Revolution. Their son Raleigh Chinn Bashaw married Sarah Kemper in Fauquier County and he was one of the first men to apply for a non-Anglican Ministers license right after the Revolution. His son was Elijah who married Maria M. A. Pinckard also in Fauquier County. Their son was John William Bashaw who married Palmyra Estelle Ross of Culpeper County. They moved to Texas in 1887. She is buried in Gordon, Texas and he in Uvalde, Texas. Their son was Charles Wilbur Bashaw who married a pioneer Texas girl named Lula Converse Lea in Gordon, Texas (Palo Pinto County). Their son was William Niles Bashaw who was born in Glen Rose, Texas and married Dorothy Henrietta Miller of Louisville, Kentucky. He was a Presbyterian Minister and served as a Chaplain under Patton in World War II. My Father is Robert Niles Bashaw (born in Louisville, Kentucky) and I am Robin Niles Bashaw born in Freeport, Texas.
I have a lot of unformation on this line and all of the siblings if anyone is interested and have a fair amount of information on Virginia Bashaw's. I would love to hear from anyone connected to the Virginia Bashaw lines.
