Thank you Jack! I would very much appreciate any clues that you could give me. As for the Williams'; my grandmother was Ruth Mae Williams, b.4/24/1904. She had 4 older brothers, Raymond, Charles, Edward and Joseph. Ruth was born in Dixon, Illinois. Their parents were Joseph Potts Williams b.1857, reportedly in Williams Bay, Wis., and Nettie Sovilla Groff. Joseph's parents were Asa P Williams and Matilda Unknown. Asa was reportedly from either Canada or one of the New England states that had been part of Canada. All that I know of Matilda is that she had a sister named Lucinda Haskell. I don't know if that was her married name or maiden name. Asa was killed in Nashville during the Civil War.
Thanks again for clues!
