Hi Susanne.
Sorry I have not paid attention to my research for so long, But I can throw some names at you if you'd like.Hans Heinrich Herman Bartz died about 1945 his wife was Elisabeth Eleonore Gottschalk my mother remembered walking behind a horse cart where her body was in a simple box. There children were. Ida b.8-18-1900Danzig d 8-7-1971 Hamburg: she married Josef Orther ( he changed it from Ordovski to Orther when they left the east) and lived in Hamburg, Germany
Johann Alfred b.1-16-1929 Danzig d.5-16-1945 preussisch Eylau: married Emma Johanna Zacharias(my OMA and OPA)she was the daughter Friedrich Wilhelm Zacharias and Augusta Schoennagel (his parents were Freidrich Zacharias and Wilhelmine Zuber). The Dahlke names comes up in the Zacharias corner. They lived at that time out on the land and Oma was raised in Buschkau.
There are some more children and on is still alive in Australia, but to reach her and drag uo memories is not an easy thing to do. I am of the opinion that your Bartz and my Hans Heinrich Herman Bartz are very close relatives if not brothers, but Poland is not very helpful and the lutheran church book were burned. I know that the Bartz went out to the country, because there was no food in the city. I know more storries about the Zacharias side, because my grandma lived with us for a while, before she died. I even have pictures of a wedding party of Friedrich Zacharias and Gertrude Klatt. Because they were driven out from their homes at that time the family ties were completely severed and no contact was really reestablished I only have some bits and pieces to share. By the way I can read old german, if you ever need help.
