Kent Bartram 11/23/06
Kent, you are so right. I DO NOT have any primary or secondary records to back up my presentations as fact. I know that is not acceptable in genealogy. That is why I eagerly await a genealogical backup and a DNA comparison from you.
I maintain that we are descended from Ann Bartram, daughter of John and Ann Mendenhall Bartram and her husband who came from Scotland, George Bartram. George is the brother of Alexander who is the progenitor of the Lawrence County, Ohio Bartrams. Tell me, if some of the Bartram families of Wayne County, WVA were told that they were not related, then how would they know that they might be related to those in Ohio.
My Bartram family genealogy is not the only one that has not been accepted by the Wayne County genealogists. My Osburn genealogy has never been acknowledged, nor my Cole family, nor my Duvall family. But that is O.K. I feel pretty secure in myself and that is all that matters. After all, they are my family.
Why would you be concerned about your DNA privacy? Many people have theirs posted on different sites.
Doesn't it seem coincidental that Alexander, George and David Bartram were all from New Jersey and both,Alexander and David went to Nova Scotia as loyalists. Good hunting.
There are a lot of missing links and not a whole lot of primary records in Pamela's genealogy.
