Hi Kent,
Yes, I am still very much convinced that we are descendants of George and Ann Bartram (daughter of John, the botanist. As you know, George was brother to Alexander, who was also a Loyalist and relocated to Nova Scotia during the Rev. war. My Cole family has many common ancestors with the Mendenhall family. John, the botanist, married Ann Mendenhall. George and Alexander may have had a brother, James, who came to this country with their mother Eleanor. I did notice that David was a Bartrum before the name was changed to Bertran.
George and Alexander were, both, in New Jersey before they came to the Philadelphia.
Have any of the Lawrence County, Ohio Bartram family contacted you for DNA comparison? I sure hope so.
At least you are reaching out there DNA wise. I hope others with participate.
