Hi Sandor, My grandfather, Andrew Bartos (died at age 88 in early - mid 1950s in December -- I can get the exact date), migrated to Northern Ohio (Cleveland area)sometime in the late 19th century from your general area leaving relatives in that European area. My grandfather spoke at least five languages -- Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, German, English, etc. and mentioned that he lived in an area in Europe where the borders were changing. My dad, Andrew Albert Bartos (born November 20 or 22, 1910, died 2/9/98)was one of four brothers (Joseph, Andrew, Stephen (Steven?), and Martin) of same mother all born in the USA. My dad's brothers preceded him in death. Andrew Bartos (my grandfather) was married at least 2 times in the USA with my grandmother being his last wife. There is speculation that he also had a wife (& children) in Europe but that is not confirmed. I would like to get any more information that is available. I know only rumors so using me as a source of information is not very reliable. Thanks in advance for any information. Warm regards, Patricia Bartos Foutz
