Hi Ramona ! For what it's worth, my ancestors came form Southern Moravia, namely Frenstat pod Radhost and settled here in South Central Texas in 1873 near LaGrange, Fayette Co.,Texas. My great great grandfather was Mikulas(Nikoulas) Bartos and he married Apolena Recek(Reczek)in 1839. His father was Johann Bartosch & married Barbara Kalus and his father was Franz Bartosch & married JoAnna Milberger in 1765. There is a large concentration of Bartoses here in South Central Texas and some of them have added an "h" to their name. Hope this helps in some way. Leonard
