Master Sgt. Richard Gene Barton, 40 of Altus, Oklahoma was laid to rest at Wilson Cemetery, Newark, Licking, Ohio.
Sgt. Barton died Tues. Feb.3,1976 at his home in Altus.
He was born May 3, 1935 to Anna (Buck) and Howard L. Barton, in Philo, Muskingum, Ohio.
He was stationed with the Air Force at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, having served his country for 23 years.
He had served in the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post in Altus, Okla.
Survived by mother (deceased as of 1994), widow, Joselyn Brooks Barton,; two sons; James Howard Barton
and Richard Allen Barton, both of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Marthea Barbru, of Danielson, Conn.
Five brothers, Jerry L., James L., Bill R., Raymond D, and Carl D. all of Newark,

Jerry Lee Barton Sr., age 69 of Heath, Licking, Ohio was born Aug. 25, 1937 in Philo, Muskingum, Ohio
to Anna (Buck) Barton and Howard L. Barton of Philo, Ohio.
Jerry died Feb. 2, 2007, Newark, Licking, Ohio.
Jerry was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving with the United States Air Force.
He was a member of the Buckeye Lake Eagles, Newak Eagles, Newark Moose, and Newark Druids Clubs.
Jerry retired in 1986 after 30 yrs. of service where he was foreman with Rockwell International of Heath, Oh.

He is survived by 4 brothers and 9 sisters; wife Donna L. (Hash) (Waldren) Barton whom he married 12/06/1980;
his children, Jerry L., Raymond L.,Janet Ramsey, Carol Freeman, all of Newark, Oh
Grandchildren, Carrie Frances Barton, Raymond Barton II;
Teddy, Raymond, Marshall, and Mickey Ramsey;
Jessica (Freeman) Persley, Jennifer and Coby Freeman, all of Newark, Oh and
a grand daughter that they raised from birth , Nicole Waldren. Numerous step children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances E. (Nethers) Barton, who died August 2, 1978; brother, Richard Gene Barton, and a nephew, Jason Kasson.
