I have a James Barton b. ca 1780 -1790 and may have died before 1850. He married Mary Conway in Harrison Co, IN and then they migrated up to Owen Co, IN living close to her father. Her father died before the 1840 census and they then go back to Greene Co., IN to live close to her brother and sisters. She may have left Greene Co. with children and be the one I found in Madison Twp. of Jefferson Co., IN (1850). Since I can not find him I have no idea where he came from. The Conway were from South Carolina and came through KY and marriages of some of the kids were in Harrison Co., IN. Thanks for any help.
