Many thanks Richard for giving me the name of James Barton's wife Margaret Haworth, which I found a few days ago - another problem is that I can't find James birth place, could be Blackburn but could also be elsewhere. He is my gt. gt. gt.grandfather. Are you any relation at all?
I did find a couple of James Barton around the time he was born but don't know how to find out which one it could be. Any ideas? Regards Jean
