Hi. I have just begun to research the Barton line in our family and have very little info. I have a Thomas Barton born 1870 possibly in Upholland and died in 1935, married to Mary Valentine born 1873 in St Helens (Mary's father was John Valentine born about 1844 and possibly married Margaret born 1845, but have no further info - could anyone help?). Thomas and Mary's children's names were Thomas (my grandfather who moved to New Zealand in the 1950's) born in 1903 and married to Alice Baxter born 1906 (they had a daughter Elizabeth and a son John Clifford), Ernest, John, Elizabeth born 1897, Dora and Doris (twins born 1910), Mary and Margaret. I can't seem to find anyone earlier than Thomas and Mary (nee Valentine) Any further info on this line would be very appreciated.
