What was the name of your ancestor that left on a boat from England? I could try and look it up from this end for you but I require some date, i.e. birth date or year, just something to go on.
I am not sure but I think Ancestry.co have names of boats leaving England.
Anyhow let me know what you can about Samuel's father and I will see what I can find from this end
