I am hitting a brick wall. I am searching for James Albert Barton he was born 1849 ? in Lexington KY? or in IN I do know that he died 17 March 1898 in cowley county Kansas his parents are William Barton and Martha Elizabeth laird I can not find any information on them I was told that William was born approx 1816 in Ireland and he died 1879 in Kansas
James married America Isabelle Vanmeter 1873 in Arkansas City Kansas she is the daughter of George W. and Alpha Lucas Vanmeter.
