Charles Barton was a brother of my 3xgreat-grandfather, Silas Barton. Charles was born in Moriah, Essex Co., NY, and died in Ware, MA on 3 May 1869. He married Eliza (surname unknown, b. about 1837) and had children Charles and William L., at least according to the 1860 census for Ware (there could have been others). Charles Jr. appears in Ware in the 1870 census, living with the family of Simeon Edwards, but neither his mother nor his younger brother appear in Ware. Does anyone have any information about either Charles Jr. or his brother? As these are collateral relatives, I have not made a great effort to find birth, marriage and death records, but I would be curious to know if there are any living male descendants.
