I have been trying to get more information about my father's side of the family. All I know is: - My father, Richard Edward, was born in around 1926 and died in a car accident in 1967. He was a physician. - My father's brother is John Henry Bartman, Jr. (aka Jack) was born in 1924 and still alive living in Newington CT - 77 years old. My grandfather, John Henry Bartman, died sometime in the early 1970's and was born 2/15/1901. He married Mae Strandberg, a first generation Swedish immigrant. John Henry Senior was the eighth of ten children, five girls and five boys. Three others died. Two of these females are apparently still alive in their 90s (must be close to 100)-- don't know where they live. John Henry Senior and family lived in Hartford Connecticut. John Henry Senior's parents also lived at least some(if not all) of their lives in Hartford CT. I have three sisters and one brother with the very popular name Bruce Bartman (Bruce Richard Bartman). He is 35, lives in the Portland Oregon area, and has two sons, Richard Scott Bartman (16) and Joshua Bruce Bartman (13). I am very interested in all of the Bruces, Jacks, Johns, etc. By the way, I have corresponded with the Bruce Bartman of Las Vegas. Since both my parents are deceased, and all my grandparents, I can't ask where the name Bruce came from. Can anybody link up to this Bartman line? My great grandfather xxx Bartman (John Henry Senior's father) was perhaps one of the Pennsylvania or New York Bartmans and then relocated to Hartford? Perhaps John Henry Senior and Anthony (grandfather of Bruce Bartman of Las Vegas) were brothers? Please email me at emnala@pacbell.net if you reply to my post. Thanks
