Dear Jody,
Unfortunately, I don't have any more answers
at this time. I never met my Great-grandfather (Horace) before his death.
However, I'll be taking my step-mom to Old
Goshenhoppen aroung Memorial Day (my late
Father's birthday) and I'll look around for
dates, etc.
I was certainly surprised when I found your forum. I had recently read an article about
the Ellis Island website coming online and in it read about the Mormons' web search,
which is how I happened upon your forum.
I'm intrigued because I have no one to ask
about any family history and there is just a blank before Horace. It's somewhat frustrating because my wife is a Sharpless decendant, and they've choricled three volumes. We attended a 300th anniversary,
back in 1983. Oddly, she's migrated less than five miles from their original landing
site (in Delaware County, along Chester Creek).
I would be very interested to hear any info
from the earliest immigrants onward as I'm
thoroughly in the dark.
Thanks,
Bruce
