Hello, I'm Bruce L. Bartman. The sole remaining son of Thomas Horace Bartman (1925-
1991), grandson of Jonas S. Bartman (1898?-
1967), and great-grandson of Horace Bartman
(dates unknown). I recall my grandfather taking us to Shoemaker family reunions, when
I was young. These reuinions were ususlly held near Lansdale, Montgomery County, Pa. My Father, Grandparents, and
Great-grandparents are all buried at Old
Goshenhoppen. I also recall once driving past the site where my great-grandparents farm had been. It was long-gone at the time of that drive (probably 35 years ago).
In our branch, my grandfather had only one brother, Jacob, who never married. My father
had two sisters, and was the only son. My late brother Glenn V. Bartman never married.
As for myself, I have one grown daughter and
two wonderful granddaughters. It appears that I'm the last Bartman from this branch.
I know no other information further back than
what I've mentioned above. If you can enlighten me as to where the branch I stem from leads back, I would appreciate it.
