Hi. We may have exchanged e-mails earlier, but I honestly can't remember for sure. You know the old saying - memory is the first thing to go as you age, and the second is...I can't remember.

Anyway, I've been tracing my Bartley line, and what you say may (or may not) go in with mine. I start with Hugh Bartley/Barkley, who married Elizabeth Kirkpatrick. Hugh was born in 1719 and died June 23, 1803. They lived in Somerset, NJ. From what little I've been able to dig up, either the next generation or the one after that changed their name to Bartley. Does this line up with what you have? If so, I'll be glad to give you information and sources to whatever I have.

We visited Ireland last summer, and wished our visit could have lasted longer than the few days we had. Those 16 C summer days made quite a change from 34 C here in Texas!
