I am quite sure that you tie into my Bartley family line. Information I have received from a researcher in Troy Michigan lists Deborah b.1843 as the daughter of David Bartley b.1799 and Anna Marten b. 10-10-1810. She is listed as having married William Alexander. Their children are listed as James, Charles, William, Aaron, Annee m. ____ McAuley, Mary m. ____ Cadow and 4 died. The John you mention marrying Sarah Jane Cook would have been a brother of Deborah (this was a second marriage for him he was previously married to Lavina Lampman.)

I do show that Deborah had a brother Daniel b. 1830 who was married to a Harriet Alexander. It was their daughter Elizabeth who married Samuel Ford.

As I mentioned I did not do any of the research I reference with regard to David Bartley's descendants, so I can't help you with the descrepancies, however from David back I have traced the family to the original Bartley/Bartlett immigrant to America, John who was in Windsor CT by 1641.

See the notes on Henricus/Henry Bartley further down the page. Henry was the father of David.

Regards,
Brian Bartley
