Hi Fellow Batleys
I'm searching for the date of death of my great, great grandmother Elizabeth Cornelia Bartley, born in 1849 in Greenville, Tennessee, the daughter of Thomas Doane Bartley and Amanda McMurtrey, both born in Tennessee in 1821 and 1830 respectively. Elizabeth died in or near Ladonia, Texas in Fannin Co. where she lived.
I have traced this Bartley line back as many as 77 generations, and into numerous royal families of Europe. I'm about to publish a manuscript I've written. The sad fact is that Elizabeth's tombstone is completely missing, and I would like to erect a new one. She lies next to her husband David Rattan in the Providence Cemetary near Ladonia, TX. The base of her tombstone remains, and it's very important to me to erect a new tombstone before I leave this world. Any help or leads in finding a death date would be very helpful. Her grand parents were Robert Bartley and Elizabeth Doane, both born in Cane Creek, Chatham, North Carolina in 1777. She married David Rattan in 1867 in Texas.
