Seeking verified Bartley family research

Darrell,I am a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Masters level), now with a juris doctorate, and have preformed medical research from time to time throughout my 23 year career and now legal research.I appreciate your drive for documented data.I too have had to wrestle with inpure data over the 15 years I have researched my family and have wasted hours of time shucking oysters just to get to the pearl. But the nice thing about it is that you can eat and enjoy the oysters as you shuck, that is, if you have a taste for them.
Looks like your Bartleys emanate from the VA area.Mine begin with immigration to Edgefield, SC in the mid-1700s if I can connect my John Bartley, 1798-1847, with the only other Bartley family in SC at the time, a Thomas Bartley whose only known child is a Thomas, Jr.He had at least one other son, whose census age fits my John's, and four daughters according to the 1800 SC census.A considerable amount of info from several family Bibles to allied family trees point to the same conclusion but haven't found the one pearl yet.If in your work you obtain any data on the SC Bartleys of that era by surname or maiden name I would appreciate a fowarding of the info if you would to me at [email protected].
Knock yourself out on the documentation, it's well worth it, isn't it?Thanks,Paul
