Do you know where in Northern Ireland they came from? Do you know exactly where Mrs Bartley was buried? (Trenton is not that far from where I live.)I have found from the 1871 Census for Essex that James (age 45) was living in Tilbury West with daughters Margaret (16), Mary (15) and Anne (10) on 150 acres. He is listed as a widow, with all three girls born in Ireland. That would mean they arrived here somewhere around the 1860's.
