Peggy, I found that John died in 1847, LaFayette, Chambers Co., Al. I found his intestate records in the Co. records. He evidently had a lengthy illness for included in the records were medical bills and whiskey by the gallon tabs at the local general store. This type imbibition is seen in diseases such as metastatic cancer. Paul
