I recenlty found out that I am desecended from the BARTLEYs in Ohio, particularly Scipio Township, Meigs County. My gg grandmother is Samaria BARTELY. In 1865 she married Elwood F. Moore who was also born in Ohio.
So far, I have been able to find the following information about my BARTELY family:
John BARTLEY, Father, b. Virginia
Sarah ????, Mother, b. Canada
They were married in about 1839 in Scipio, Meigs Co., Ohio.
Ashbury BARTLEY, Son, b. 1840, Scipio, Meigs Co., Ohio.
Samaria BARTLEY, Daughter, b. 5 Jun 1842, Scipio, Meigs Co., Ohio (my gg grandmother).
John BARTLEY Jr., Son, b. 1846, Scipio, Meigs Co., Ohio.
Jane Jennie BARTLEY, Daughter, b. Jun 1849, Scipio, Meigs Co., Ohio.
Corrintha BARTLEY, Daughter, b. abt 1854, Scipio, Meigs Co., Ohio.
Does anyone know who John BARTLEY's parents are and his wife Sarah's maiden name. From what I've been able to find out that John was born in Virginia (possibly West Virginia now) and Sarah was born in Canada.
