Hello, Bartleyites,
I am researching a family called Thornley who lived in the Ballyshannon area, Co. Donegal circa 1790-1883. One of the Thornleys, a Thomas Thornley of the Essex Fencibles appears to have married Sara Bartly and had a child Margaret by Sara in 1813. The address given was Higginstown, which is circa 2 miles from Ballyshannon.
Thomas Thornley`s address when he died in 1840 was given as Moyne. Not sure where this was, maybe Moyne in County Longford.
Can anyone help with any information on Sara Bartly or her husband Thomas Thornley of Ballyshannon and Moyne?
The Thornleys were the ancestors of Bram Stoker, author of Dracula. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
