In researching John Bartley & his wife, Nancy Hays, their son James born 1806 in Green Co, TN died 23Dec1891 in Powhattan, Brown Co, KS and is buried there. He married Sara Jane Speake 1829 in Lee Co, VA. James & his wife had 5 sons & 5 daughters all born near Rosehill, VA. Their son Francis Marion Bartley, born 11May1837 died in Robinson, Brown Co, KS and buried in the Powhattan, Brown Co, KS Cemetery where many Bartleys are buried. Francis Marion Bartley and his wife Julia Jane Jones Bartley were my maternal great-grandparents. Do you have any information concerning the parents of John Bartley? If you would like other information about the family, please advise.
