Joseph Bartley of N.Carolina, born 1832 in Blue Ridge and
married to a Mary Nel was my gg grandfather. He had nine
children the oldest of which was George Washington Bartley
who was married to Sarah Potts. In 1892 George W. and his
brother Jasper came from Missouri to Texas. My grandfather,
Albert Lafayette, born 1881 died in Clarksville,Tx in 1951 He was the second son of George Washington, married to
Lucy Ferguson. My mother Zenith Bartley Gist was their oldest daughter. I am looking for (1) ancestors
of Joseph of N. Carolina. I believe the original immigrants
came from northern Ireland, (2) information on when the
Joseph went to Missouri from N. Carolina.
