Andrea;

I enjoy helping BARTLETTs trace their roots, particularly my cousins. Please pass along my contact information to anyone who is interested.

I also manage the BARTLETT-DNA Project, and we have 8 matching DNAs for this line, including mine. The DNA for our BARTLETT line is very unique in that it is not the typical DNA found in most American Colonists that leads back to the inhabitants of the British Isles after the last Ice Age. Our DNA comes from the Fertile Crescent 8,000 years ago, and then the Balkans (near Kosovo) 5,000 years ago, and then in Balkan men who were recruited by the Romans 43-400AD to be part of the occupying forces. At least one descentant of those soldiers got on a ship to the New World c1720.
