Henry Charles/Charles Henry Bartlett died Civil War
Hi-
This relative of ours (b. 1840 d. 1865) was noted in historical records as having died, and been buried in TN during the Civil War, his Bride Almira Eldred Bartlett had a small son Herbert J Bartlett.Almira Bartlett remarried - to Henry's brother John G Bartlett, my great grandfather. We are a bit confused as we have found an almost exact birth/death date (d. 24y6m28din 1865 Jan 05)on a cemetery register from Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha, Calhoun Cty, MI (okay I can see they could have brought him back home for another burial but that doesn't explain date discrepancies).Other confusion is that their son, who Almira talks about in letters in 1865 as a baby, is shown as being born in 1867 in the cemetery records. And the brother John G was married to Almira in 1866.Does any one have any further info on this odd situation???
