Gen. Joseph Bartholomew born 15 March, 1766 in Hunderdon Co., New Jersey, died 03 Nov, 1840 in Clarksville, McLean Co., Ill. ( I have photo of the Gen. and also photos of his grave)..The Gen. married first CHRISTIANA PICKENPAUGH(BECKENBACH)in 1787 in Laurel Hill, PA. She was born in 1767 in Laurel Hill, PA., died 09 May 1810 in Charlestown, Clarke Co., IND. She is the daughter of (Johannes) Peter Beckenbach,(b. 23 May, 1735 at Eiterbach, Hesse Prov.,(Germany), d. 1786 in Dunkard Twp., Greene Co., PA. and his wife, ANNA BARBAR BUCKNER OR HENRY, b. ca. 1737 or 1740 in Fredericktown, Frederick Co., MD., died after 08 Aug., 1805 in Monongahila, (W.) VA.
Gen. Joseph and Christiana (Pickenpaugh) Bartholomew had 12 children. After Christiana's death, the Gen. md. ELIZABETH MCNAUGHT on July 30, 1811--8 children.
Genl Joseph Barthlomew was a son of Daniel Bartholomew, b. 1720 in Germantown, PA, died 1770 in NJ.; married Elizabeth(Catherine) Unknown, b. 1725 in Germantown, PA, d. 1816 in Charlestown, Clark Co., IND. Their marriage may have been on 09 May, 1734 in Branford, New Haven Co., Conn. but this not confirmed.
Daniel may have been a son of Johan Bartholomew and wife, Dorothy Endt but this not confirmed yet.
I have not yet come across the connection to the George Huckleberry family but I will check my databases further for you...
