Clifford would have been the 8th child of William S. & Cornelia. We've had a lot of family from California. My email address is susantrantham@hotmail.com I have a relative that has researched this extensive search on the Bartholomew line. William Scott Bartholomew was a circuit rider. I just found this information at google. A lot of the towns listed on this site are towns that I know of in this area. He was a Methodist minister. Evansville that was mentioned in the other post is South of Lincoln, AR. Lamar Township may be down by Clarksville as the town "Lamar" is located South (I think) of Clarksville. He lived 30 miles South of Ft. Smith around Mansfield. Lamar would not be too far from there. http://files.usgwarchives.org/ar/madison/history/goodspeed2.txt Protestant Methodist.-A church was organized in 1872 in Lamar Township by Rev. Clark Mason; his successors have been Coleman, Smalley, William S. Bartholomew and A. S. Wood. B. B. Davis, Henry N. Sanders and Lawson Pitts were among the first members. The present numerical strength is thirty, and Pleasant N. Gipson is steward. Notify Administrator about this message?
