Trying to find lineage

I have been through so many Bartholomew posts, but I have no idea where to start. My grandmother (Alice DeLorm) married Veryl Abbott Bartholomew in the later 1940's in WA state. Their marriage produced Roger Veryl Bartholomew (my father), born 9/16/47 in CA. Alice and Veryl divorced around 1951, and I know Veryl remarried and had Richard Bartholomew and a daughter (who I have never met and who's name I am forgetting, also in WA state). Richard and Roger have children (7 biological, 1 adopted in total), and grandchildren.
Veryl died around 1990 of lung cancer, and I have no one in the family who has traced our lineage. If anyone has information I can start with, it would be very much appreciated.
