I am looking for a man who is a confirmed father - son descendant of John Bartholomew and Druscilla Glasgow who settled in Porter County, In. John died 9 Nov 1856 and Drusilla died 25 Sept 1845. Both are buried at Adams Cemetery, Porter County, Indiana. I am trying to confirm or deny our genealogy as it is written. I have compared my YDNA with a descendant of Johan Bartholomew of Schoharie, New York. This man is a brother to General Joseph Bartholomew's father. General Joseph is my 3rd great grandfather. Our results did not match. Our closest common ancestor is hundreds of years ago. There is a family story that says General Joseph was adopted. If I had the YDNA of a descendant of John then I could either prove or disprove the story.
