"CHARLES FAYETTE BARTHOLOMEW, "Bart," "Charlie," was born February 18, 1898, in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. For the last eleven years his home has been in West Newton, Massachusetts.

"His father, William Fayette Bartholomew, was born October 12, 1871, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He is a member of the firm of Tucker, Hayes & Bartholomew, bankers and brokers, in Boston, Massachusetts. His mother was Eva Gordon Lain of Brooklyn, New York, before her marriage. Bartholomew has two sisters.

"He was prepared at the Newton High School, Newton, Massachusetts; at Phillips-Andover; at the Noble and Greenough School, Boston; and at the Rosenbaum School, Milford, Connecticut. He took the Select Course; was a member of the Andover Club; and belongs to Theta Xi and Franklin Hall. He left college his Freshman year. Kenneth F. McAleenan was his roommate.

"In 1917-1918 Bart was a member of the Yale Naval Training Unit. He entered service October 8, 1918, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and served as a Private in Company H, Harvard S. A. T. C., until he was discharged December 7, 1918.

"He does not expect to return for a degree, and intends to make investment banking his future occupation. His permanent address is 245 Highland Avenue, West Newton, Massachusetts." [photo adjacent]
